AZIH Es La Buena Vida

Why in the wide world of sports would I, as a foreign tourist who does not speak Spanish, want to practice civil disobedience and potentially get caught up in the Mexican legal system? While I agree that they are making very unwise decisions, I think it is the responsibility of the local business owners to put appropriate pressure on the government.

Why would you, indeed? You'll just cross us off your list when the thrill is gone. It's exactly what certain interests are counting on. But if you wanted to make a difference, you could. And as I keep hinting, absolutely NOTHING would happen to you. No one is going to lock up a foreign tourist for taking a damn chair and umbrella to the beach. All it would take is one brave soul who can also videorecord themselves. Obviously someone other than you. ;-)

And as you can see, local business owners aren't doing anything but worrying about their own skins. Many hope to get favors from papá gobierno for their "loyalty".

The world is what we make it.
