In the USA I go to my local Wells Fargo bank and purchase pesos. No limit. I do have to make the request online with bank and use particular branches. And this last trip down I had Wells Fargo FedEx the peso’s to my home address in USA before I flew down. When I run out…I will do a direct wire transfer from my Wells Fargo account to Santander. per agreement between those banks. . Best exchange rate possible at the time of the transfer. WF allows $800 USD per transaction. No ZIH bank account required. Transaction # from WF to Santander required. Also Passport and local address and/or phone number requested by the Teller at pick up.
Beats ATM rates. Requires lining up at the bank.
