State health officials report there are 328 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, though apparently no current hospitalizations in the Covid-19 section of the Hospital General or IMSS. Guerrero currently registers 94.9 confirmed active cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

A bit of rain fell around the area this evening. When I heard thunder I had to double check that maybe there hadn't been an explosion of some kind. So extremely rare to hear thunder at this time of the year.

Tourism has slacked off a bit, though bars were noisy last night and the revelers kept us awake into the wee hours and left an appalling amount of trash including glass bottles on the beach even though the beach is supposed to be closed from 7PM to 6AM. It would be nice if police actually patrolled on foot with regularity.

Our weather couldn't be lovelier. Got so cool last night that we had to snuggle under a light sheet last night. Brrrr! And today was another absolutely stunning day with puffy white clouds and cerulean skies. Gotta love tropical weather! I sure do.

With all the nasty weather up north and cold weather inland, there's no place like Zihuatanejo. A peaceful laid back tropical paradise perfect for losing your cares and tensions. Come escape the madness with us.

A cruiser hauls his dinghy onto to Playa Principal during the morning. Good to see them back again!
