Fasten your seat belts.

PCR tests can remain positive for months. I don’t know about Canada, but in the US there is an “end run” around a positive test. You need to have a doc certify that you are no longer infectious 10 days after the positive test. (This may have changed to 5 days) Canada might have a similar way of dealing with it.

If Canada doesn’t require PCR for land crossings, you could fly to the US with a negative antigen test, which should happen within 10 days and then cross by land.

Found a link to Canadian requirements, looks like you have to wait 15 days.

Canadian return

Land border crossings from US into Canada require a negative PCR test....definitely as of 20 December/21, because that's the day we were denied entry to Canada by car....and had to get PCR tests, ($150 US each, +$200 Canadian...each) in the USA before being allowed back into Canada.

Travelers....especially Canadians..... are being advised to have a "Plan B". Clearly, Plan B is not pretty.
