Guerrero's health officials report 1 currently active case of Covid-19 registered in Zihuatanejo. None along the rest of the Costa Grande. Let's see what the week brings.

For a Sunday night at the end of the Semana Santa vacation period, things seem pretty calm. Lots of locals and visitors were at the Cancha Municipal enjoying the performances and people watching, but it was hardly crowded. A traditional Sunday evening in Zihuatanejo. The Michoacán folk dancing was lovely and the jazz saxophone player from Morelia was excellent.

The mar de fondo is certainly back and beginning to wash quite high on the beach, which always concerns me for our proximity to the beach and because the last remodelación of the waterfront lowered the level of the terrain between our home and the beach (the part that wasn't paved over), and of course the design and pavement favor the waves now being able to wash right through Plaza del Artista to the street.

The water is warming and the beginning of hurricane season is only 3 weeks away. Time to get ready. Still not very smoky for this time of year.
