Health authorities for Guerrero report there is currently 1 active case of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo: a 69-year-old woman with hypertension and diabetes currently in the Hospital General.

This may be my last Covid-19 report unless things change drastically. It's no longer even considered an epidemic in Mexico. Frankly we should be more concerned about dengue, zika and chikungunya with the oncoming of the rainy season. But I'll still post daily photos, music and local updates, just not so late awaiting the latest Covid-19 report from the state government.

Today was another picture postcard perfect day of excellent weather. A fire atop one of our hills left a pall of smoke in the late afternoon that may affect us tonight. But we're still getting a refreshing breeze out of the northwest that's helping blow smoke from the fires around the region away from us and keeping the nights cool for perfect sleeping. Sleeping under a sheet is still optional, though we still find ourselves under the covers during the cool mornings. Soon we should expect a change in the prevailing winds as they shift to come out of the south, which may also bring increased smoke until the rains start.

Kudos to the city government for keeping the water flowing pretty regularly this year. Also for shutting off the gray water that was entering the bay beside the canal in front of the museum.
