No new active cases of Covid-19 to report in the entire state of Guerrero.

Our hurricane season starts this Sunday. It rained hard in Petatlán overnight. We should be next. Rivers and arroyos will soon flow and closed barras will soon open up. I'll be happy to see green hillsides again! I wonder what day we'll get our first real rain?

This is the time of year when we pretty much have Zihuatanejo all to ourselves with hardly any tourists around. The tranquility is almost overwhelming. Hardly anyone on the streets, walkways or the pier. Unfortunately the Blue Flag beaches are just as unfriendly and useless as ever for most locals, and it's a damn shame our city government doesn't even care.

Sea turtles should begin arriving in larger numbers this coming month, so keep an eye out for them.

Our pozole this Thursday from La Jaiba Feliz was extremely delicious, as usual. What a privilege it is to live in Guerrero even though the U.S. government lists us as a DO NOT TRAVEL TO state. Hmmm... Maybe that makes me like it here even more. ;-)

¡Cuidemos nuestro patrimonio!

A fishermen tries to find his daily sustenance at Zihuatanejo's downtown beach during a calm morning. Bait fish could be seen schooling around the bay.
