I had the good fortune as a kid/teenager to go on 2 month camping trips all the way down to the point - San Jose de Cabo. At times we really roughed it spending a couple of days here and there on some beach with no electricity, running water. My parents had a trailer and a not so reliable generator that would get us by to the next town. Ensenada was the last big stop to load up on supplies. We had had two dirt bikes and had a blast on the various sand dunes and beaches. I was down in the area 4 years ago and was shocked by the development. For some reason Santo Tomas, Loreto and Bahia de Concepcion were my favorite stops.
