Recommendation for new vet in town

There is a new vet in town and I just wanted to post and let others know about him. We had a very good experience with this gentleman just yesterday and couldn't be more pleased.

His name is Osias Hoabeth Medrano Obregon and his office is located on Calle Rio Bravo (in Dario Galeana) where it meets Paseo Del Palmar on the way to La Ropa. He specializes in cats and dogs, carries pet food and accessories, provides grooming services and is a trained surgeon.

We took our 47 kilo (105 pound) lab to Dr. Osias to have a mole removed from his eye lid. He was fortunately very patient as it took some time for our large dog to get put under. Our appointment ended up taking much more time and medicine than the vet had ever anticipated, but he didn't choose to charge me more as a result. In fact, this doc was VERY reasonable compared to every other vet we'd talked to about this procedure (think 10X more reasonable).

I recommend Dr. Osias. He did not try to rip me off because I look like a tourist and his bedside manner and professionalism are both excellent.

For those who have difficulty speaking medically in Spanish, Dr. Osias does have a good enough grasp of the English language while also allowing you to practice your Spanish.
