Horseback riding on beaches

Yes Rob, you are absolutely right. I mentioned that there are horseback riding in La Barra...but did not say the rides were on the beach (maybe the question specified beach but my reply did not. Sorry I didn't think to make that clear.

It is illegal to ride on the beach for good reason (as pr the sign) to protect the turtle eggs and other life that lives in the sand. The rides at Barra de Potosi are NOT on the beach - at least the ones I am referring to. They have two or three trail rides that follow paths through marked areas close the lagoon and through some coconut plantations.

Good point to clarify...thanks for mentioning it! Just as there should be no motorized vehicles on the beach, neither should there be horses. As lovely as they are, they do damage there that should not be permitted.
