Troncones Day Trip Suggestions?

There are several choices, depending on what you are looking for. If you want somewhere that feels familiar the obvious choices are The Inn At Manzanillo Bay or maybe Roberto's Bistro (on Playa Troncones). If you want something that has more of a local feeling, there are several places in "downtown" Troncones, such as 7 Mares.

As I type this message, we are sitting at Restaurante Costa Brava, a very pleasant local restaurant. Cerveza is M$15. My wife had three enchiladas de pollo for lunch for M$75. I had queso fundido for M$40. And you can see that they have free wifi here. BTW, we are the only people in the restaurant. Sunday afternoon when I was here there were maybe eight other people here.. It is right on the beach. They have a "cooling" pool, not a "swimming" pool. It could be just the spot you are looking for.

To get to R. Costa Brava just turn right at the T intersection. It is just over the bridge. Any of the taxi drivers will know where it is.
