You're welcome to adopt her. The city's services are already overtaxed. Yet folks keep showing up in our streets and on our beaches, especially after a tourist season we notice folks who seem to have either been left behind or simply decided that here is where they choose to remain. Granted, our streets are much warmer during this time of year than those in the sierra or altiplano.

From what I understand, she's already been in and out of the public social services system for folks like her, and she appears to prefer doing what she's doing. Our social services can't hold her against her will. She's made the papers on more than one occasion.

So has the woman who hobbles around with a bandaged leg begging for "una money". She comes all the way from her cozy home in Petatlán, manages to walk all over town harassing everyone who looks like a foreigner, but refuses to work no matter how simple. She's an outright fraud and I hope none of you encourage her by giving her "una money".
