Need email for Guadalupe @ Panaderia El Buen Gusto...Please!

by SunnySunnyTime @, Monday, March 20, 2017, 17:44 (40 days ago)

we were in Zihua last week and got chatting with Guadalupe - she works at the Pink Bakery (Panaderia El Buen Gusto) located at #11 Vicente Guerrero - mid block on the west side. She gave me her email address to send her some photos but it is coming back undeliverable.

I messaged the bakery on facebook but no response.

If anyone happens to be "in the area", could you pop in and ask for her email?!? Tell her the couple from Canada was trying to send her the photos we were looking at last week!!

many thanks!
Sunny

Would the telephone number help? I agree that this bakery is the best. We call it the pink bakery and end up there a few times a week. Favourite treat- French toast. Toooo good. The sisters that run it are very sweet and funny. The telephone number is 755 554 3231.

When you first posted, I searched the internet and had Douglas search his papers for one of the calenders Lupita used to give him. Sorry, no luck.

But why won't someone who is there in Zihua just take a few minutes to help? I just don't get it.

thanks Cathy,

i too searched as best I could...messaged them again on FB...no email on the business card i was given. I just feel so bad because I promised I would email the photos and she so carefully wrote down her email address...but no go.

The photos are of old Zihua in 1978 when my husband went as a child...we got to chatting when we wandered into her shop on our last night...in broken spanish and lots of hand jestures ...we saw her old pics on her counter and showed us the ones we had on our phone..she was happy to have a few more "black and whites" to add to her collection.

So, if anyone feels like a walk up the street...please pop in and get Guadalupe's email address...I'm sure she would be thankful.

Gracias!!
Sunny

Do you know, I sometimesj have photos printed and mail them to friends - perhaps the housekeeper's children come by the hotel because school got out early. Great chance to pop some popcorn and take some photos. Usually print three copies of let's say two or three best photos (extra sets for the abuelitos).

It is sometimes difficult for local people to get emailed photos printed professionally. So this makes your gift extra special.

Email me at cathysmith@pacbell.net if you'd like to try it and have any questions. Lupita and her sister Sylvia will love hearing from you!

And the yogurt...

They used to sell fantastic locally-made yogurt too, but haven't had any my past couple of visits, I'm not sure if the person making it stopped or it wasn't selling. Maybe if more folks ask, it'll happen again!

It may be sacrilege, but the store-bought yoghurt in Mexico is terrific too....the Mexican brands, especially Alpura and LaLa. The apple flavour is delicious, as is the zarzamora. We always thought it odd that we couldn't get apple yoghurt here in Canada, where we're surrounded by apple orchards, but just recently apple has been added by some manufacturers. But it still isn't as good as Alpura.

OK in a pinch but always hard to find without sugar or sweeteners, though CM usually has some. The bakery stuff was great sin azucar, and there were others, including apple...

I have their calendar and the email isn't on it. Sorry. If I were there I would absolutely make the trip to help out and to pick up a pastry or 3.

Thanks to Kimberley for offering to stop by the bakery...

I contacted the bakery by WhatsApp. Told them that you had sent a message to their Facebook page and you were needing the correct email address. They also offered to give me some pan francés :-]
