Thank goodness for the relative coolness of our mornings that allows us to get our exercise and do our chores before the heat of the day makes movement itself a chore. It hasn't rained in the downtown area of Zihuatanejo for a couple of weeks now. Just a few sprinkles so that the dust can stick to our cars, so plants are looking a bit anxious as they watch stormcloud after stormcloud blow right past.

After weeks of calm seas our mar de fondo is acting up right on cue for the summer vacationers who will start arriving in a few days. Let's hope no one gets caught in a riptide or pounded by a large wave.

Just a flash of color for a few minutes then it was all over.

The moon was setting just as the sun rose, and a lone fisherman tried his luck from the downtown beach.

There goes our old friend Pancho!

Rob - something about this trio of pics that just says "this is a very special place" to me. Experiencing a moon set from the beach or out in the surf as the sun is rising is priceless. Thanks for sharing. Brad
