Slow day at La Barra-

Is it the same in Z? Is summer vacation over? Just a thought: Trying to make a profit from a capital investment that only has a short season (4 months in winter, 6 weeks in summer) is a really difficult market. Anyone looking at how to improve the off season market? Aggressive marketing of off-season low prices? I mean heavy discounts to a break even point to capture more of the market and generate low margin income?

Today in Vallarta Naryit, Bucerias the beaches are empty. At the condo we are at we were the only ones at the beach until 2 when 4 others appeared.

Things look pretty slow here in downtown Zihuatanejo, too. Though the drunks were at it at the downtown bar "Carlos" until the wee hours. Some nice drunks decided that the middle of the street in front of our home was a great place to park their camioneta con estacas para alquiler at 4 in the morning with ranchero music blaring while they urinated in the middle of the street. When I shined my spotlight on them all one of them could murmur was "no pasa nada". Locals all right. Because everyone here in Guerrero knows that no matter what laws you break, no pasa nada, unless you're innocent.

Visitors often never learn the fortunes of say a beach enramada are concentrated over a 15-20 day period annually. Compounding the issue is the necessity of having "fresh ingredients" on hand. It's challenging and doubly so for business owners with limited education. The ultimate cruel world of The School Of Hard Knocks.
