I am looking for insight on a new hotel in Majahua called Casa Lindo Amanecer. It looks like a nice little place, but there are no online reviews, etc. It is located in town just across the road from the enramadas in Majahua. Anyone have any info on this place?

No, but down there in 2 weeks and we eat in Majahua all the time. We could send pics easily or take a peek inside.

Thanks, I have actually been inside and seen the website. I am not sure what more I could learn, but I just thought I would ask and see if anyone had any other relevant info. It looks like a nice place in a cool, out of the way location. I am thinking about going there on a solo trip next spring for a week before my family arrives and we head to Barra de Potosi for a week.

First time I had heard of it. There are similar places you never hear of unless mentioned on the Board.

I guess the information I am looking for, without really wanting to ask, is whether I should have any concerns staying overnight in Majahua for a week, alone. I have eaten lunch there several times during the day, but have never been outside of lunch hours. Is Majahua a little too far from the tourist zone to be considered safe for a gringo alone at night? I know there are tourist accommodations in the are, but I am just looking for assurance or cautions, etc.. Just trying to be prudent...

I have been to Barra de Potosi and Troncones for many extended stays. Is Majahua any different?
