We have to immediately have installed a 15 meter fence/barricade at our new home to keep the dogs from being stupid and falling off of a 7 meter drop. Yes, we could go chain link, but that is ugly.
There was a new gate installed somewhere on Carretera Escenica on the way to Playa la Ropa last winter. It is a marine underwater scene. It is extremely open, but beautiful and would keep the dogs safe.
There is also the same, beautiful work at the restaurant next to the laundry on Vicente Guerrero, just up from Rob and Lupita's corner.
Does anyone who know did the work, and where to find him? Dog safety is first on our list to take care of, we'll stay in our motorhome, not the house, until we can make the place safe for them!

Hope you don't think I'm out of line, but I tend to believe as a matter of principle dogs need to know better than to jump off 7-meter cliffs. If our chihuahua can handle our rooftop without a protective barrier of any kind your dogs should also be able to handle your yard. Might you be over-worrying?

We would agree with you except....... It's a fairly steep hillside with a 4 inch edge, lower than yours, and our two idiots love to play chase, wrestle, and lose track, while running full tilt of where things are, like people, legs and edges. Plus, they didn't grow up there, they are used to the flat of the beach. We'd rather be safe than sorry. Besides, those barricades are gorgeous!

This won't be "Big, Beautiful and paid for by Mexico," though. It will only be about 4 feet tall, 42 feet long and actually will be beautiful if we can find the person who makes them!

Used to have a Great Dane. When I would leave the house in the summertime she would run upstairs and out the bedroom patio door jump over the deck railing onto the adjoining garage and off the 5-meter garage roof all at full gallop before I could get in the car. But they certainly do not challenge chihuahuas for intelligence. They are the slack-jawed yokels of the dog world. And before anybody loses their poop because I used the term SJY. It is ok cause I are one.

Even Though these stories might be interesting or funny to some, it
would be nice if someone who has some real info would respond to Ray and Jane

Kimba loves our dogs, loves us, and knows how much we want to get out of the moho and into the house!

Thank you, You must be the new Hall monitor? Let me know when you aren't in charge and I can post anecdotally. You understand this is a board people share their experiences? If the information is there it will come out. Till then maybe relax a little as long as people are following the rules of the board.

Our chihuahua, who looks like Lola, is fearless of heights and cruises an 8 foot retaining wall at our house. Our Jack Russell actually shakes with his fear of heights.

I don't know who made the fence but I would hazard a guess that it could be from Faustino Chavez's metal shop as he does a lot of the fancy work around here and did our extensive metal work when we built or house. If you give him a call he would come out and look at what you want. You should get a comparison quote though. His phone number is 755 1028537. email: faustinochavez@yahoo.com
Good luck with that!

For a second quote there is a very large metal fabricating shop on the old 200 road, on the right past Ixtapa a little ways. I can't remember the name but you can see it from the road. They made us 4 large metal doors.
