On-line immigration form

We filled out and printed the Mexican on-line immigration form before we left Colorado this year. It was easy and had no problem when we arrived at the Zihua airport. Remember, only 30 days or less before you arrive.

Gee, that's handy and convenient. Wonder why the USA doesn't do the same, at least for it's neighboring countries?

Can you provide a link to the form?

. Depending on dates flying , we often end up having to travel through MEX , then catch the commuter to ZIH . The line ups there are often long . Last Thurs it took us 2 hours . Will this in anyway help? Onething iI did notice this time is that oppsed to pushing the light, there is now a line for nothing to declare in MEX......do they now have this in ZIH ?

The only way this will help cut the time in immigration is if the flight you are on has no forms. Then you would have to fill out the form while in line. or before you are allowed into a line.

The last 2 years our United Flight from Houston had no forms and we had to fill out the immigration form after landing.

Another benefit of the on-line form is that you are asked how long you will be in Mexico. In our case we estimated just under 6 months. So it automatically gave us a 180 day Tourist Visa. Before we had to ask the immigration person at the Zihua airport to write in 180 days.

Have noticed the lack of forms a number of times using various airlines to get here. . We now keep a supply at home and prefill before leaving home. One other thing different this time in Mex other than the ‘nothing to declare’ liine was they didnt need the other form that you filled in and gave to the guys at the ‘stop light” .

Thank you for the webb site. When I was trying to link up Kathie's new Passport to her Global Pass, it was hard to tell which was the correct site to go to. We had problems logging in for her log in changed from when the log in was created. No longer worked now because the new log in uses a email address. We finally got the 2 linked up Saturday- she had basically given up and was about ready to set up a appointment in Cincy as one of the sites she was using suggested( I hate the US Government Sites for making changes).

I have a stupid question. Bear with me. We completed the forms. Now we have Entry and Exit forms on a 9 x 11 sheet of paper. Do I leave them on on the sheet as is? Cut them apart? There is no longer a perforated tear for the Tourist Card you keep with you. Can you tell me how it works? Change always makes me nervous.

Does anyone have an answer to Fran's question? I am wondering the same thing.

Also, does the form need to be printed in color?

And, is there an online customs declaration form?
