What's your experience with Interjet?

I came upon the Interjet web site today with good prices from J.F.K. in New York to Zihua. However I read some really lousy reviews about old planes , lousy service, and surly cabin crews. Has anyone flown this flight and can anyone comment on these lousy reviews. They offer a great package price for the flights and a week at the Irma. It sure is tempting but may not be worth the savings. Thanx. Jeff

we have flown on them a few times and always thought that they were great. Can't comment on the bad reviews.

The negative reviews reflect my personal experiences. Routine departure delays, one cancelled flight and the near-impossibility of a refund. I still fly them domestically here in Mexico, but would be reluctant if I had to make a connecting flight.

We live in NYC and we've flown to Z via Interjet through Mex City for the last two years, and we're scheduled to do so again Jan 2018. Our experience has been top notch...prices, friendliness and timeliness. We flew once before with them RT betw Z and Oaxaca with similar experience. No misgivings.

Love Interjet!

People with bad experiences are more motivated to write a review than a satisfied customer.

I have used them the last 4 times to Mexico. No complaints. Surfboard charge is included in regular luggage allotment, crew has been courteous and professional, free beer and half the price of a United flight.

I've flown with Interjet many times and the only negative is that the flights are often delayed (though never by much, in my experience). If you're connecting, make sure to have some nice padding in your layover. Other than that, I say go for it!

For the sake of accuracy, I researched my flight times with Interjet. Last time, January 2017, we arrived in Mex City at 11:20 AM and took a 15:05 flight to Z, so there was a good block of time between flights. This coming trip, January 2018, we are scheduled to arrive in MC at 11:20 and depart for Z at 13:20, which we hope will still afford us enough time to jump the hurdles required.

Thank you, sounds good. where do you stay? We may take a package from Interjet and stay at the Irma. The package with hotel and transportation costs less than the United or Aeromexico fare.

Interjet hub

I wonder if I can tag a related question on here about Interjet hubs within MEX and are all flight gates near each other. We will be flying domestic only. Thanks and this may be helpful to the OP as well.

Please be happy always
