Just kidding. I will be doing one eventually but thought I'd drop this here. Posted to my FB account:

Some of us took a two week trip to Mexico. Zihuatanejo, Morelia and Patzcuaro were the cities we visited. Our government has a travel warning up for Mexico. After two weeks there, in three different metropolitan environments and geographical areas, I laugh at that. Regardless of where we were; resort, metropolis or village, the Mexican people were the kindest, most generous and polite people I have experienced. I knew this of course, it's one of the reasons I go. The breath of fresh air I breathed over the last two weeks won't be enough to lay the cruelty and divisiveness of the States to rest, but at least I'll be able to think back on a place where kindness and caring abound.

So very true.
I've been to many places in the world and I never tire of Beautiful Mexico.
As a matter of fact it's very hard for me to leave and return to Chicago.
I hope to retire to Mexico in a few years...

Sorry I missed you Rob. I kept an eye out, when around town. Mostly I was enjoying the company of my kids and their spouses, who I hadn't seen in over a year. So we stayed around the Villa, close to the pool and the beach, until they went home and we headed north.

If only the political climate in the US was as smooth and well oiled as the Mexican political climate.......

Politics don’t necessitate hate.

It seems to be just fine up here................as long as you currently do not have a Penis. If you do, it would be safer for you to submit your resignation now, ahead of time, and save yourself any further embarrassment.

Other than the Twin Cities of "Z" & "I", it is hard to choose between Patzquaro or Morelia. They are both unique in their on way and both offer the Old World Charm.
We have flown into Morelia when the air miles flying United was 2 x the number flying into "Z" and taking the 7 am express bus to the coast- what comfort.

We took the bus up to Morelia but then spent the big bucks to take two taxis to Patz, and a Honda Odyssey taxi from there back to Z. Both were worth the extra money, IMO. Not cheap though.

It's surprising you have to take a bus or taxi to (Urapan?) to catch a bus to the coast.
