Zih trip picking up steam

Finally worked around the United schedule to make my reservations for May.
Next the hotel, easy, parking at the airport, easy, one night layover in Houston, easy, waiting for May, difficult.B-)

Zih trip picking up steam

United limits to and from trips in May for Zih. They are down to one day a week in May where we can fly from NJ to Houston and connect to Zih the same day.
Returning they offer only one way to return from Zih to Houston that has a 12 hour layover, leaving for NJ early the next day. The alternatives are 24 to 30 hour layovers in Mex City.
Whatever it takes for us to get to Zih is worth it, to return to the wonderful people of Zih.
What I don't understand is in years past the plane from Houston to NJ (same day connection) was always completely full.B-)

Understood.

We have experienced the same the last two years for United-Houston connections from Minnesota.

We used to do our 10 day trip in the fall, but now do the Sat-Sat in the fall and the 10 day trip in March when Delta is fly ing their non-stop six days a week.

Difficult to understand them. The flights back from Houston were always full, with people waiting for stand by. While I can understand some cuts, this leaves me baffled. People like us will always find a way to get to Zih and home again.
