This October will make 3 years in a row for our anniversary trip. Cost us about $200 usd more than last year but still a bargain. $1,000 for direct flights out of LAX plus almost the same for 7 nights at the Azul Grand. I know that AI's are really frowned on here but at about $140 a night, it's less than an ocean view condo that includes nothing. No need for a kitchen and refrigerator when you have room service included. We did consider BVG, maybe someday as it looks very nice. After staying about 6 times in condos in Zihua, I never thought that I would like staying in Ixtapa but now it seems to be the place for us even though you will find us most nights eating in Zihua.

I know a lot has been said about safety in Mexico but I still say that the most dangerous part of our trip is the 4 hour drive to LAX. Have you seen the way those people drive on the highway?
