No idea what coffee you are referring to, but the coffee grown here in the Costa Grande of Guerrero mostly comes from two sources: the sierra of Atoyac and the sierra of Zihuatanejo. Café Caracol sells coffee from Atoyac, while Café Galeana and Café Zihuatanejo sell the kind from our sierra.
I just realized Zihuatanejo Coffee used to be called Ixtapa Coffee. A mind is a terrible thing to be wasted.

I understand that one. Cafe Ixtapa they were delivering bags of it to La Solieado last week, it smelt so strong I had to turn around to ask. They told me it was from the tierra of Zihua. There is a small coffee shop on Cuatemoc could it be from there?

Yes, they have a very nice not so small store about 5 blocks down Cuauhtémoc street from the zócalo on the right. Amazing flavor!

Great article.
Café Zihuatanejo is our favorite from the region.
We always take a couple of kilos of beans back stateside with us when we have to leave paradise.

I just realized Zihuatanejo Coffee used to be called Ixtapa Coffee. A mind is a terrible thing to be wasted.
See their listing on my Shopping page. Café Galeana is also listed and they are the same coffee.
