We thought their pizza was pretty good - the crust was more like bread than regular pizza crust. You choose which kind you want from the 3 or 4 choices. Then they pop it into their pizza oven for a couple of minutes, and viola. The prices were very reasonable: 30 pesos for a fairly large piece, which they cut into two wedges. We've heard the lasagna and other pastas "are to die for".
Two brickbats, one of which isn't Shimia's fault at all:
--- most of their chairs are very small and uncomfortable, if not downright dangerous. Lean back on the ones with the tacked-on metal backrests at your own risk.
--- the outrageous noise blasting from the bar(s) right across the alley would spoil the dining experience at even the most wonderful restaurant. Get there a bit earlier, before the bars start spoiling things. This scourge of blasted technocrap plagues several otherwise enjoyable restaurants in that same general area.

And while I'm bitching, who approved that huge, garish illuminated pizza sign cater-corner to Zorro's? Makes a funky area look like Coney Island. Eat elsewhere, and tell them why.

We have eaten there several times. Pasta dishes are wonderful. There’s no substitute for homemade noodles. We’ve had pasta with tomato sauce and bolognese. I make mean meatballs...theirs are better! Comes as a side dish. Good garlic bread, decent wine. Ravioli (meat) unexpectedly with white rather than red sauce. Friends say lasagna delicious. Dish with “extra cheese, extra butter” is fettuccine Alfredo, very rich and delicious. Portion sizes for each dish are not large but more than enough for us. Really quality over quantity. Margaritas are strange, stick to wine. Haven’t had pizza, sounds like Sicilian style which has a thick crust. Prices very reasonable. Ditto complaint above about chairs. If you can, opt for wooden ones. They really aim to please. Closed Monday.
