My goodness, what a difference from the past two weeks! We can sleep at night again! We can stroll on the sidewalks and not have to squeeze past people or tramp through their litter. The beaches are clean and the trash bins aren't overflowing! Even the bars have turned their noise way down. It's like being in a different town, except it's just our old Zihuatanejo. My how we sorely missed it!

Now back to the business of trying to make it a better place. ;-)

After a good night's sleep it seemed easy to get up and to be out early enjoying the cool fresh air. The ocean temp is brrrrr!, so it makes for perfect sleeping weather for those of us who live by the ocean.

The morning haze is picking up. The smoke from the burning of tlacolols will soon begin to dominate the landscape, and the heat and humidity will soon begin to build until the skies let loose their rains in about a month or so.

This panga is a bit of a throwback. An old style that isn't used anymore. But it's good to see someone rescue this old boat and get it floating and running again. More power to'em!

Rob was wondering about the pangas and sort of the history of them and where the fishermen get them from. Of course the charters here in the US are priced so high that it takes 6 people to pay for one of them to go out. I am looking forward to Xmas and going out on one. Thanks. Jamie

This is from Wikipedia.
(I almost wrote "Wikileaks"! Gotta get the Trump soap opera off my mind.)

Yamaha! Who knew?
