Here's a shot of the sunrise seen from Paseo de Las Salinas near La Noria from last Thursday before the smokey haze arrived in earnest. Lots of folks have been complaining about the smoke and the lack of water in the social media and the morning radio talk shows. And it's just getting started. We might get some relief soon thanks to tropical moisture pushing north off our coast early this year. Keeping fingers crossed.

One of the city workers responsible for keeping our part of town looking nice got himself some new specs, which he now proudly wears while filling out his morning work reports. He wanted us to convey his gratitude to my readers who make this possible!

Over the decades, we have seen countless sunsets and a few sunrises but never one thru barbed wire. Thanks for the fresh perspective.
