from the airport to La Barra de Potosi. A really great access along the beach with new pavement. Highly recommended. No need to go thru Cocoul and Los Achotes now.

Busload of touristas in La Barra, at least 11 big buses. Naytios was jammed. The town sure has changed over the last few years.

Yes, now it has more people than ever NOT spending money.

The road didn't need paving. The area needs telephone service, garbage service, electric service, police security, potable water and wastewater treatment. But some politicians made a nice lump granting contracts to campaign contributors. Paved roads exacerbate problems. Ask the folks at La Ropa who have to listen to bus motors running all day and who pick up the garbage strewn all over their streets and beaches. Paving the road at La Ropa ruined a peaceful and tranquil way of life for its residents.

All the problems you address exist virtually everywhere in GRO. But they don't need tele service, cell phones are all over the place. They do have garbage pick up, it is the locals that don't pick up the trash.

BUT I have a solution: Tear up all the roads you mention, i.e., La Ropa, and see what that does for the economy. Maybe the area does attract poor people on buses that don't spend money but maybe that what the area attracts.

Note: Bugalows Solecito installed a first class septic system when it was built in 2005 and I assume the big destination resort on the N end of the road meets specs?

And I can say without qualification that the homeowners along the road really like it.

I'm surprised you aren't aware that telephone lines provide the internet and TV services that many of us use.
