The city clean-up crews were busting hump cleaning the beaches this morning. For sure by not cleaning the canals they made less work for themselves, but now tons more garbage from inconsiderate folks found its way into our bay than otherwise would have.

A sailboat named "Capella" broke from its mooring and smashed itself to pieces on the rocks by the Capricho del Rey.

Apparently someone forgot to tell the tourists that we were having a tropical storm yesterday, because they were still showing up by the busloads.

These photos are from yesterday morning. It's been raining most of this morning. If you don't need to be on the roads then I recommend staying at home. It's nasty out there for drivers.

Waves washed completely up to the sidewalk on the downtown beach including in front of the museum where the remodeling project plans to build a silly garden. :-o

Yep - windy, rainy, and Saturday had lots of garbage in the water near the pier. I like the wind and rain, but it does cause lots of problems, and my husband's had to get up in the middle of the night to bail out the panga. Nice play on words, there, Rob!
