I mean that in a good way! I see all kinds of birds here every day but today I finally captured photos of two that had been eluding me for some time now. They are so beautiful and I feel so privileged that they come by our place. Enjoy!

WOW! Great photos. You obviously are working hard at getting your subjects. The long shots of the surf across the bay a couple of weeks ago were amazing.

The birds are interesting! When we left, almost 3 months ago, we thought we had them all pegged. We knew when they came and went, how many in a group, where they liked to go and hang out. It has ALL changed! The chachalacas are very late, no parrots, only one or two urracas, no mot mots or trogons. It's all part of the changing seasons and we didn't expect it.

So much to watch and learn. It's a whole new world!!!

Love these photos. Thanks! (and Tally Ho - I snorkel a lot and the seasons have the same effect on the fish - some are gone (shallower or deeper water or hiding under rocks) but will re-appear in the winter.)

Thanks so much for sharing these photos! Before flying north at the end of April, we were fortunate to see MotMots daily on our walks to and from La Ropa. Bird watching in paradise. But we were never at a good angle to see the colors you captured here. Great job!
