Are there any RV Parks in Zihuatanejo. I know of one in Ixtapa at Playa Linda?

Very definitely. We spent the last 10+ winters here in our RV and finally bought a house, sold the RV and are here permanently.

El Manglar at the south end of Playa la Ropa has about 15 spaces with all hook ups and wifi. Very close to the beach.

Across the street is Costa Bella, has 3 spaces, all hook ups and wifi and a pool. That is where we stayed, and because we are gone, there is now space! Very close to the beach.

Trailer Park La Ropa at the south end of Playa la Ropa has about 15 spaces, all hook ups and wifi and a pool. It is largely French Canadian, and is a short walk to the beach.

At the south end of Playa la Ropa is a campground. It's on the road out to Las Gatas. I have no idea about hook ups, but if it's pressing, we can check. Vans and campers occasionally park there with an occasional tent.

This place is paradise. We were never thrilled with the park on Playa Linda outside of Ixtapa, it is a lot like a paved parking lot. In recent years there was a sign that no pets were allowed, but that may have changed.

If you watch Woodalls.com, RV.net, and several others, there are forums on RVing in Mexico and South America. As the moderator of those, I try to keep the information as current and readily available as possible.

Come see us! You may never leave!!!

Thank you so much for the information. We love Zihua and are now looking at spending the winters there in our RV. I know where El Manglar is so that's a good start. I will check out those web listings. Do you know the average rates per month?

In 2017, Costa Bella was 300p per night, El Manglar was a bit more, and the French camp a bit more than that. I don't know that anyone has monthly rates.

Contact for Costa Bella is through Facebook, don't know about the others, but we can find out if you are interested.

El Manglar has both weekly and monthly rates as well as the daily rate. We didn't make it down last year but you can email Edmundo at earmenta99@yahoo.com.mx

Or phone El Manglar at 755 554 3752 if that is not his current email. Ask for Edmundo, if he is not there ask for Memo, his brother, who speaks excellent English

Did you drive down every year with your RV? We've considered this also, but did not know how safe it would be to get there.

We have been driving all over Mexico and Guatemala since 1982. Yes, from 1990 on, in an RV.

The roads in Mexico are better than the roads in California.

FYI, there is another park, not in Zih, but is located south of Petatlan in La Barrita. Not an RV park per se, but they have several campsites and parking for RV's. A very nice, clean place (Casa Rayo del Sol) located right on the beach within walking distance of several enramada restaurants, etc. Beautiful, secluded beach. Here is their website labarritavacations.com.
