Almost every day feels like I live in a paradise. Whether we are hiking in the hills around the area or on the beach this place has a special kind of beauty and particularly at sunset. I just wish that more people respected it enough not to throw their trash all over the place. We usually bring a bag along with us to pick up plastic along the way but it is never enough.

¡Gracias Humberto!

I used to love the old footpaths over the hills of La Ropa. An old farmer used to grow watermelons not far from where you took this photo just before the footpath crossed the ridge coming from La Ropa, and it was fun to buy one or two on the way to Playa Manzanillo and eat them there.

Oh that sounds absolutely delightful! A fresh cut watermelon on the beach! Wish that person was still there because the walk up that hill makes me thirsty....lol

Hola. This road the three of you, plus the cameraman, are walking. . . . . .is this the new cut from La Ropa to the airport? Or the road on the south side of the mountain behind Las Gatas (Fonatur housing lots for sale)? Thanks

This is the new road from the airport to La Ropa. The hills in the distance on the left side of the picture are the hills behind Las Gatas.

Trash in beautiful areas not only in Mexico - That reminds me of my first job in the last-70's doing scientific studies in the backwoods of Mississippi and Louisiana. I would drive down these dirt roads in the mid of no-where in the pretty Piney woods forests. At the end of a number of these roads someone would dump their house trash.

A lot of people in that part of the south pile it up in their own backyard. I fear is it cultural.
