July conditions?

So we plan on coming for a vacation in July. How are the conditions? Is it really crowded at La Ropa? What is the best way to get from airport and return? I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you for any input and extra tips for a family of six, grown kids. We are quite adventerous but know we have to be mindful and careful. We basically want to hang at the beach, snorkel, fish, go to some restaurants. We like hiking and natural areas but not sure that would be possible. We went to Loreto last summer and loved it. On my bucket list since 5 years old has been seeing the monarch butterflies, but not getting hopes up on that.

I do realize it will be July and monarchs are there in winter.

July is wonderful!

School is out so there will be more people on the beach, but that just adds to the scenery. It's nothing like Christmas or Semana Santa. It will rain frequently at night along with great thunder and lightening. It will be about 5 degrees F warmer for both the highs and the lows. The ocean water goes from warm to warmer.

We'll still be swimming the dogs and paddling in the mornings and sitting under an umbrella on the beach many afternoons.

Actually we usually only see rain towards the beginning of the month of July, usually a good tropical storm belts us, and then nothing for the rest of the month until around the end of the summer vacation period in mid-August. but at least everything is green in July.

This is what a typical July day looks like. Rain in Petatlán but not here.

Sounds great, Thanks both! We only have a week so would like to take a quick tour and airport transfer to hotel all in one. Can you suggest anyone good?

Also looking for suggestions for the following: We want to see interesting (short) hiking spots, find grocery store, some of the Mexican cooking classes look cool and take a day or half day fishing trip. As for restaurants, we will probably stick to what we can walk to on La Ropa, any ones not to miss?

I recommend contacting Roberto Velasco for your airport transportation and tour. Here’s his website.

Take a taxi or combi bus to Ixtapa and walk the bike trail to Playa Linda. About 7 km through a nature park. Should be beautiful in July. Trail is paved in red so you can’t miss it. If you want trail hiking there are some new trails that branch out just as you enter the park. Well signed. Great mountain bike riding if you can find a good bike to rent.

I can hear that you're getting excited, but I have some advice. Don't try to do too much! Leave some chill time! You can always come back. Saludos!
