Awoke to shouts from bicycling enthusiasts getting ready for a big ride this morning. There must've been about 30 mountain bikes loaded into the back of two pickup trucks, and the excited young riders apparently forgot that 6:30 in the morning isn't a good time to be shouting and whooping it up in our downtown streets, especially after a local bar kept most of us up until 1:00 AM. But no harm done. Glad to see the heading out for a day of adventure. 40 years ago a bicycle was my favorite transportation, too, riding up and down Anna Maria and Sanibel-Captiva islands in Florida as well as to and from my classes in Ft. Myers, Tallahassee and Gainesville.

It sprinkled again sometime early this morning, and while I was topside checking our tinacos at sunup it sprinkled again. Still not enough to qualify as a "rain", but we're getting there. The storms are happening right off the coast. Any day now...

And even though the rains are right off the coast, the nights are still cool enough to need a sheet right before dawn. I don't ever recall the weather being so pleasant during the month of may. Aren't we fortunate!

Isn't she pretty? And extremely grateful for your generosity!
