Pangas y Pilotes en Zih

Though we got some rain from yesterday evening through early this morning, it was mostly a light rain, good for the plants and for cooling down the temps, but just enough to make swimming in the bay unadvisable for today and probably tomorrow, the last weekend of our summer vacation period. Oh well. I was surprised that I had to pull a sheet up over me during the early morning hours. It's been a while since we had any remotely cool temps. Good for beer sales. Forecasters predict the tropical disturbance along our coast could become more organized and produce more rains. As long as we don't get any deluges we should be good.

Before the rain hit pangas were coming and going from Las Gatas with groups of families and other tourists, some in tour groups with a guide. Good to see. But with the weather came a bit of wave action that made disembarking on the beach a little difficult at times. Gotta say the panga operators are doing a decent job getting folks back and forth without incident.

Here you can see a boat landing and a couple more coming in keeping an eye on the waves.

And then there were SIXTEEN.
