Time Changes

An astounding 93% of the 223,000 British Columbians who recently participated in an on-line survey voted to scrap the existing twice-annual time changes, in favour of permanent daylight savings time.
California, Oregon and Washington have apparently all decided to do the same, but require congressional approval to proceed. Canadian provinces do not require federal approval.
With the switch back to standard time scheduled for early November, it's unclear if the change in B.C. will go ahead. It may depend on what happens with the US congress.
Heaven knows how this will affect airline schedules. We've already received three itinerary changes to our Zihua bookings, all related in some way to Boeing's incredibly incompetent handling of the Max 7 fiasco.

I would very much be in favor of doing away with the twice annual time changes. I know the president of Mexico has proposed a similar thing. I didn't realize that my former home state of Washington had approved it.

We have a couple of States that do not change their clocks. In Indiana, the people that work in Ohio use the Eastern Time and others that work in Ill use the Central Time. Get's confusing. This has been going since Indiana stopped changing their clocks 2 times a year.
