Looks like a good candidate. Could also be the last hurrah. Usually right around today is when we get a good storm, Día de Santa Teresa. Then the show's mostly over until next year.

Día de Santa Teresa - UPDATE

As predicted yesterday, Santa Teresa didn't disappoint and we saw some heavy rains and winds in parts of our region while other parts went mostly unscathed. The low pressure system affecting our coast changed track and looks like it's going to head inland in Oaxaca. We will get some residual moderate to heavy rains, but not near as bad as it looked we might have. No tropical storm or hurricane.

Terrific light show last night and this morning. Hope no one lost any electrical equipment. The power was out for several hours in the northern residential area of Ixtapa last night, but the worst of the storm passed right in front of our coast.

Hope no fishermen were lost or hurt. The older ones seemed to know the storm would skirt right off the coast instead of hitting us directly. Dem some smart fellas.

We'll probably have rains off and on for at least the next couple of days.
