At these little latitudes the sun rises quickly. From pitch blackness to bright sunshine in about half an hour. Colors come and go real fast and the scenery seems to change completely in the bright tropical sunlight

We enjoy some of our best weather at this time of the year. Pretty darn perfect. And so is the ocean, though it will be cooling a bit soon. Whales are already arriving, so be sure to head out on a boat while you're here to try to see them in their element (but not too close). Several of the charter services I recommend are very good at this service.

As I thought they would, the pier reconstruction company brought the grua ashore, and it looks like they're getting ready to switch out some of the Flexifloats. I would think they'd put the grua on the best ones and use the leakier ones for the pilotes.

We have yet to see them set 6 pilotes a day as was projected early on, but I have no doubt they'll reach that goal.

My sweetie posing in front of the obra. Notice all the shells!

Some morning views on the way to the pier reconstruction site.

Thanks for keeping us up to date with your lovely photography. We can't wait to get there and see the newly completed pier. Just 70 more days! B-)

We miss coming down the end of October and first of November and how Pacifica decorated for the Day of the Dead. With cost of air fare, we decided to come down for 4 weeks during January and February to get away from the bad weather for a period of time. Kathie has Seasonal Depression and being in the sun helps her get through the rest of the winter. Seeing the greenness now versus the brown in January with very little rain is the other thing we miss.

Alaska's screwy schedule for Zihuatanejo is primarily responsible for sending me and my missus to Loreto, day after tomorrow (along with my kids, their spouses and my 11 month old granddaughter). They (AK) leave so early, for Z, that it's virtually impossible to schedule a flight to get there in time to make that connection, and I'm not spending a night in LA. We might be able to fly another airline for the PDX-LAX leg, but we use our AK companion ticket for our (semi) yearly trip to Mexico.

We found there is a direct flight from Midway(Chicago) to Morelia. That is a option for us and take the bus to the coast- we love Morelia and it's historical center of town. We flew there twice before we realized of the Midway flight.
