A Little Zih Shine

I hope everyone went to the Eco-Tianguis "Zanka" this morning across from the museum in the plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero school. That's The Place to be and The Thing to do on Saturday mornings in Zihuatanejo. Lots of delicious fresh food including tamales, fruits and pastries as well as juices and coffee, all from the region. And sometimes special guests drop in to entertain.

Trucks rolled the wrong way up Juan N. Álvarez street during the middle of the night taking more pilotes to the pier reconstruction site to replenish their stockpile since they had used almost all of the ones they had stored at the pier. They are working round the clock sinking, driving and cutting the pilotes to size. The progress is notable and the beginnings of a pier is starting to take shape.

This will always be the heart of Zihuatanejo to Lupita and me.
