Don Scott Blues Premiers at La Tasca!

After three seasons at Sixtino's, Don Scott and Rosanne Licciardi have found a new home for their blues at La Tasca Bar & Grill on Playa Madera! Starting tonight and every Saturday, 7-9!

Acoustic blues and roots artists, Don Scott and Rosanne Licciardi perform their unique blend of traditional blues, roots, rock, jazz, country, swing and zydeco tunes, peppered with Scott's original music including commentaries on social injustices plus several sweet-sounding instrumentals. They play unplugged but the energy they bring with a book of over 400 songs has audiences snapping fingers and tapping toes. With guitar, harp, drums and vocals in masterful interplay, they create musical conversations as if they've known each other all their lives.

Was interested until I read the part about the social commentary. Last thing I need at the place where I come to get away from it all.

Yeah, he'll tell you about how the White Man still runs the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or his 8 days of hell from his Vietnam experience. That's part of the blues, man. If that's too much for you, there are other places to go.

Plenty of great blues available without social studies lectures. You really come here to learn about and/or fix oppression? Sad.

With all due respect amigo, it's truly disappointing to read these snowflakey closed-minded if not hypocritical comments. So what are you going to listen to? Mexican ballads about oppression and political woes that you don't understand?

What the hell do you think the blues is about, Yankee? Joyous Africans at summer camp on their American vacation?

Bang on, Rob. I think I can guess what side of the Wisconsin fence this guy's sitting on.

I guess you can tell by the fact that I don't care for a lecture with my music, that you feel I I am a right wing, Trump supporting, Limbaugh loving, uncaring, racist gringo. You would be wrong once again.

I volunteered for a year (not full time) on a civil rights project in the late 60s. I financed a black owned business in the inner city of Milwaukee during my business career. I voted, but not for Trump or Hillary.

I consider myself a libertarian-fiscally conservative and a social moderate. What the hell is your problem Rob? If someone doesn't agree with every one of your political rants they are an idiot?

There was nothing in my somewhat sarcastic comments that demanded or sought your assent, much less your creds. I certainly didn't call you a Chumplet, either. I just found your negative comments towards 1945gypsy flimsy and begging to be "intellectually" challenged, so I obliged.

Here's a little social commentary I like. Hope you don't mind. :stones:

I don't go on vacation to listen to someone rant and rave about politics! I have heard this happens occasionally.
