The hurricane/rainy season has "officially" ended and it is unlikely to rain again until around the beginning of next June. Gonna be a long wait. *sigh*

Yesterday lots of people celebrated and some people protested our president's first full year of his 6-year term. The Zócalo in Mexico City is where he gave his anniversary speech yesterday, and lots of folks turned out to hear him. The Cuarta Transformación is off to a bit of a shaky start, but unlike our neighbors to the north, Mexico is not polarized and even many of our president's detractors had praise for him on the first year of his taking office. I find the differences in the tone and types of conversations north and south of our northern border to be striking. Hopefully folks in the USA will learn to be civil again to one another, but the hate seems to emanate from the top down out of the Oval Office.

Lupita and I wish to express our sincere gratitude to our gracious hosts last night Susan & Ramón for a very entertaining and relaxing evening at their home. Everything was absolutely PERFECT, and it sure appeared that EVERYONE had a wonderful time. Jossy Gallegos and the other musicians were great. I even got to dance with my sweetie!

The construction crew is setting the pilings faster than they can be brought in.

I love the part about "unlikely to rain again" as I was Kindling in my hammock on my deck early this morning and had to flee the rain. :)

Savor the moment! Then look at the weather map. I call these "lluvias de milagro" because it looks like they were conjured up by prayer.
