Any restrictions on mobile advertisers

My neighborhood in Las Mesas has been inundated with vehicles traversing the streets with very LOUD speakers advertising tacos etc at earth shaking volumes, normally worse at siesta time. Are there any restrictions on the books about such practices and if so are permits issued and how are they enforced?

I toss buckets of water at them. They haven't passed by my house for quite some time, and when they do they now do so quietly.

Hola Casa Juan

Related to the noise contamination you mentioned, I liked Z Rob's suggestion:-)

Besides that method, there are Environmental rules, regulations, restrictions, laws, for just about anything that might disturb people in their own homes, or in public on the street.

As I have mentioned in a recent post, there is little if any effort on the part of any local "Authorities" to apply and enforce any of them, regardless of the source of the noise contamination.

Where I am, for the past 9 years, I have the same situation with the mobile vendors.
Although it can be quite annoying and intrusive, it only lasts for a few minutes.
Just have to tolerate it, that's the bottom line here in Z.

You could go to the office of la D.I.M.A.R.E.N. at the H. Ayuntamiento, and make a complaint in person.
It is best to submit your complaint in writing, and have them stamp it "recibido". (bring TWO: one to submit, one for yourself.)
I believe they are obligated to reply, if you do that, versus a verbal complaint.
Either way, I.M.O., it's a waste of time, they won't solve the problem.
