Just another picture postcard perfect day in paradise. The week is off to a good start for us. Hotels are doing a good business. Restaurants are doing a good business. Lots of shop owners are doing a good business. This is what Zihuatanejo has needed. Soon our pier will be open again and more cruise lines will consider dropping anchor in our bay. While much of the world is poised for a recession, our future isn't looking so bleak. Now if only sanity prevails in the USA and the voters elect Bernie so that the working class folks can enjoy some economic prosperity after 40 years of barely keeping their heads above water living paycheck to paycheck and going bankrupt if they got ill, we might just all be enjoying better times in the near future.

Soldiers marching on Juan N. Álvarez street at the corner of Vicente Guerrero circa 1973. Our family home is partially hidden by the huge hibiscus bush on the left. Not long after this photo was taken the house on the right was knocked down and the Plaza del Artista saw its beginnings.
