"The Canadian Snowbirds Association says it's advising all of its members to heed the PM's advice and head for home.

The advocacy group, which represents tens of thousands of Canadians who winter in warmer climes, has told members to leave their residences in places like Florida and Arizona because insurance options will become increasingly limited in the days ahead as some providers move to cancel or restrict policies — including policies that were signed well before COVID-19 spread to parts of Canada and the U.S."

I believe you may be needlessly fanning the flames of fear by scaring Canadians who are here iinto leaving, when it certainly looks like we’re all safer right here than almost anywhere else in the world.

If any Canadian (or any other foreigner) needs emergency medical attention for any reason they can receive free care here just as if they were citizens, thanks to a new law that went into effect this year.

Certainly not meaning to alarm folks, but provide updated info, as things are changing here every few hours. Everything is shutting down, and there is talk of a lock-down, as well as other major developments in the works which I won't go into as these have not been confirmed as yet.
As they say, fore warned is fore armed.
And I hope you are right, Rob, that we need not worry and all will stay safe.

Robb do you have any specifics as to what a non citizen here in Mexico needs to do to utilize the health services that are now available at no cost?

More specifically, where does one go in Zihua to get started on using the free public health services?
Gracias

I discern a difference between,"emergency medical attention" and "free public health services". Comments, clarifications??
