Lots of us are extremely bummed and pissed off because the municipal government tore down the pedestrian footbridge over the canal to La Madera known as the Puente Blanco. Apparently they're saying residents agreed with it. I certainly haven't heard one La Madera resident express that sentiment and I can't imagine many if any would. I used to live in La Madera and that bridge has always been extremely essential. It was the original way to enter La Madera back when it was El Vado.

Mexicans don't have the luxury of being able to lock themselves in their homes for a couple of weeks, so we are encouraging each other to support our local businesses. Apparently the worst part of this pandemia is the accompanying psychosis.

People everywhere should be able to enjoy the beaches with their four-legged and furry family members.

It's good to see our friends and neighbors getting their exercise and fresh air even if we aren't shaking hands and hugging as we usually do.

Rob- based on "official" pronouncements, as well as your personal sense, what do you believe are the "guidelines to keep everyone safe" in Zihua in regard to Covid-19 virus?
And then beyond that, what do you believe are the "best practices" to follow in regard to the same issue?

They don’t pay me enough to answer questions like these, so I’ll decline to opine for now if you don’t mind.

Hey Rob, are you sure they're not just replacing it?

Could be. The lack of transparency and communication by the city leaves ample room for speculation. Every public project is supposed to, at minimum, have a billboard erected at the site detailing the project, its budget and the contractor. I haven’t seen any such notification for any of this project of dubious necessity. Neighbors who live right there express the same concerns as I do

The rebar as of yesterday looked more like something else was happening besides just the bike path. Let's hope so!
