Do You Trust The Numbers

by Canada Pete @, Vancouver Island / San Jose / Houston, Thursday, March 26, 2020, 08:47 (64 days ago)

Do you guys trust the numbers coming out of the majority of countries ?

Personally, I think only about 10 -15 countries even have the ability to track this properly, the rest people will just disappear.

Did China peak and now it's over or are there 12 million Chinese who vanished ?

In Most countries I think they will just be counted as people who died.

There was a flu in 1959 that killed a million, another in 1968 that killed a million people. The 2008 h1n1 killed 500,000. Those numbers are according to the CDC and WHO. However, if you add up the numbers as reported by countries the numbers reported are about 20-30 % of that.

Who is right, the CDC and WHO or the reporting countries ?

I think I've been lenient on this topic because of all the anxiety some folks are going through, but Pete, this has nothing to do with Mexico or anything in Zihuatanejo.

Mexican authorities are working hard to do what they can, some more than others, but no one demands more of Mexico's authorities than Mexicans, including transparency and accuracy in the data being reported. As I commented in another post today, the latest news can be found on my NEWS page.

It's a question

It's simply a question Rob, it has NOTHING to do with MEXICO, AMLO, TRUMP or ZIHU.

Personally, humans have survived pandemics since the beginning of time, we are the result of the survivors .

Please don't take offence to my post .

I agree with Rob. It is what it is. Some will live some will die. I just wish I was still in Ziha.

In the States there has been a problem with numbers because of the inaccurate reporting coming from the labs- some were not reporting their numbers because they were not part of the system. It has been reported the numbers are getting better because more numbers from the different labs are getting to CDC.

Speaking of numbers, Mexico’s numbers are very good in comparison to about every major country. Bravo to the steps that are now being implemented. For what ever reason, Mexico’s cases started very late and it looks like the powers to be have learned much from its neighbors experiences and has stepped up the preventive actions. I just hope the economy can handle the loss of business. We are lucky in the US with respect to the unprecedented efffort to keep the ship afloat.
