Beach patrol again

Hola
I know that I will be trolled by all the small minds that seem to have inundated this board, but I will post it anyway for the few nontrolls that still visit this board.
At playa principal they have posted marshalls to patrol the beach and keep people off. They seem to be the same as the dog nazis that we used to see at la ropa. Saw them kick a few people off the beach.
Okay trolls, bring it on.

Maybe it’s a small minded person that doesn’t get the concept of an open forum. If you can’t deal with other opinions or that they just like to mess with you an open forum is not a place for you.:stirpot:

We really appreciate your observations, thanks.

The trolls are the reason that we post sporatically. After being offended, it's hard to jump back in.

I guess the beach police must go home early. Its 8 PM and we just saw three dogs and a bunch of people on the beach.

I like to hear what's happening in Zihua, so appreciate your comments. Not sure if stay at home in Zihua is a recommendation or more like a lock down (no movement). Here we are told to stay home as much as possible, only going out for essentials, but can take exercise outdoors/walk dogs as long as we practice personal distancing. I am trying to get out with dogs while I can, in case we do go to lock down. I don't touch anything and steer clear of others. Thanks!

It's stay home here, too. Not followed by everyone, but even the garbage truck has a recording saying Stay at Home - bring out your garbage, but - Stay at Home. Since they pass once a day, I'm sure people know.

Does it make me a troll to say that is offensive? Can you not use other terms that do not trivialize the evils of the Nazis?

Sorry if "dog Nazis" offended you. That was what they were called by all my dog loving friends at la ropa when they were patrolling there. They threatened to take our dogs. No offense meant. I apologize.

Hola Victorio

Good for you Victorio.
:megusta:
I consider it to be quite honorable when a User recognizes what to another User may be offending, and rights it.
Something that rarely, IF ever, anyone has done on this Board.
Congratulations.

Anyways, nobody has mentioned the proper name for the officials in the field who usually handle the rules about what is permitted on the beach, which IF I recall correctly is--->

G u a r d i a n A m b i e n t a l

That said, possibly the ones our good friend Victorio mentioned as "marshalls", may have been la Guardia Nacional, OR Policia Turística (?) and NOT as I mentioned above???
Please clarify, thx in advance.

Saludos B-)

I agree. Is the purpose to say this is ridiculous? Or maybe the poster intends to defy the new rules. Listen I live in Michigan in one of the worst counties for this virus. You do not want to happen what is happening here. Please obey the rules. Stay home. We still don't really know how this plague is transmitted. It could be from the air. STAY HOME.

Isn’t it funny that when you ignore the beach closure or walk your dog on same beach you’re a freedom fighter but if your bar is open you’re a scofflaw? Right and wrong in Mexico seems to be pretty fluid. And before you start, I’m a dog owner and I don’t like being stuck at home either, but I am of the opinion that you can’t pick and choose which laws are applicable to the individual.

This isn't so much a law folks are violating by being out and about but a suggestion to do the right thing and help keep everyone well so our inadequate hospitals don't have a worse burden placed upon them with hundreds of sick people showing up for whom no local hospital can adequately care. The police aren't going to arrest anyone, but unfortunately even the folks who fish from the shore for their daily sustenance have been asked to leave. I think that one needs to be rethought.

I'm still receiving e-mails from people around the country and abroad asking if our beaches are closed because they want to come here to vacation. I have to resort to meditation so that I can reply in a proper manner. Man, do I wish Sopers were still a thing. (raise your hand if you remember what those were)

Philip Soper's "A Theory of Law"?

Aaah: Methaqualone is a sedative and hypnotic medication. It was sold under the brand names Quaalude and Sopor among others, and sold as a combination drug under the brand name Mandrax which contained 250mg methaqualone and 25mg diphenhydramine within the same tablet. Commercial production of methaqualone was halted due to widespread abuse, among other things. It is a member of the quinazolinone class.

(I read a little of Soper's theory....and it's certainly relevant in discussions of current advisories or directives re physical distancing, stay-at-home, beach closures, etc.)
