Another evening with a light rain to cool things down and help the plants ease on up out of their slumber, and another bright sunny day to help them grow. Life changes gears in the tropics and gets ready to kick into summer mode.

In spite of the government's recommendations, Troncones, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are already receiving tourists. Little by little they are trickling in, discreetly but noticeably. Hopefully the beaches will open on July 1st.

The more people find out about the certification of La Ropa and its significance for people with pets, the more displeasure they express. Help get the word out and inform people that banning pets costs us tourists, because no one else appears to be telling them.

The dorado we had for lunch today was exquisite! So good to live in a tropical coastal community.

While we are out of the country, where do we register our complaint?

I believe you just did, but if I find a truly representative elected official or a competent sympathetic bureaucrat I’ll post it here

I'm complaining too. The dog owners I see are ALL conscientious.

I'm complaining too!! I've argued about this for so long now! I still would like to know whose stupid idea this was to go Blue?! I know one of the first one to start this was that idiot from La Perla! Never stepped foot in that place since he screamed at us in front of people & staff to GET OUT!!!! Because we had our small dog with us & didn't know as it was the first time we'd brought him down. Rossys our spot ever since. He used to love to get off the combi, head to the beach & plop himself down in the waves every every few feet! Everyone along the way would laugh. The beach police started a year or two later so no more beach walk, just go down the lane behind Rossy & onto the sand. He could still watch the waves, & people & dog watch.
They are so wrong in doing this. So many people, of all ages, travel with their pets. Gives another reason for some people not to come & enjoy our paradise! Tourism will suffer again. :-( :grrr:
