It won't work in Chrome at year end. HTML5 video is the standard now. Flash has been being phased out for years now. I'm sure you will find browsers that will still support Flash for a long time but once the major browsers stop it wont make much sense for sites to use it.

I was wondering because once in a while will be required to turn Flash On. So I set it on all the time and now there is a message that it will no longer be supported- I do use Chrome.

There is a difference between Flash and Flash Player.
Steve Jobs identified Flash as a vector that could carry viruses and malware into the Mac Operating System so made it more and more unwieldily to use it in Safari, the Mac browser of choice.
And as has been mentioned HTML 5 took over many of the functions of Flash a while ago.

I do not follow the changes because they come so often. I only add them when a program calls for one to open and use.

I don't think you understood the point I was trying to make.
But it sounds like you will find you're way through the issue you raise?
