As of this afternoon Zihuatanejo has accumulated a total of 725 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 60 of which resulted in fatalities. As of yesterday afternoon 313 people have recovered from the virus and 296 remained active cases. Again making Zihuatanejo and Guerrero the nation's hot spots. The number of new cases is a result of testing in various colonias but has not resulted in a corresponding increased demand for hospital beds or ventiladores which remain available at the two local hospitals conditioned to receive Covid-19 patients.

Okay, today was hot with temps around 33 to 34°C. Last night was pretty darn warm, around 30°C or so, and if it doesn't rain, tonight will be the same or worse. But that's what cold beer, fans and showers are for.

Still seeing too many tourists not using facemasks. Are their brains on vacation, too? What ARE they thinking? I'm not bashful about reminding them, but most locals don't say anything, and that's a problem, too. We all need to be the change we want to see.

Remember, as of tomorrow all phone calls in Mexico use 10 digits.

For folks worried about vacations in "crowded" places like Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa, please consider vacation lodgings in some of our local out-of-the-way places like Puerto Vicente Guerrero, Playa Blanca, Playa Larga, and Troncones. Rural areas where folks have been taking precautions and working hard to be ready to receive visitors as soon as visitors are ready to return. Use my links and deal directly with the lodging owners or THEIR agents, not some third party.

Rob- maybe I have missed it but I don't recall you saying:
"Again making Zihuatanejo and Guerrero the nation's hot spots."
In what regard are they the nation's hot spots?

Well, it’s been in the news. You could try a search engine.

By the way, why do you copy Rob’s entire message even though it’s just before your message, which we have all just finished reading? Please have some consideration.

Another one not keeping up. Yes, you missed it. Please feel free to go back and read what I've written so that we don't have to repeat the conversation just for you.

I probably would've just replied with the direct answer you sought had you NOT been rude to Cathy in your reply I deleted. Helluva mess to wake up to on a Monday morning in paradise. Try to play nice, kidlets.

Are you meaning to say Zihua and GRO are “among” the nation’s hot spots?
Or is the nation’s hottest spot?

OOPS- Should have said “are the nation’s hottest spots”?

Did someone say the Band is Hot? Enjoy the music and read the news. Do not enjoy the news and read the music.
