Not mangos until February, if I recall correctly.

Here's a chart that shows the seasons for mangos grown here in Guerrero.

mangoes?

You may get more precise answers from others.

I have two different types in my jardin, one is blossoming now and will be ripe in late March, early April. The other type ripens in late September-October.

There are over 4,000 different types of mangoes in the world so one should expect that other local varieties ripen at different times.

Ask your produce vendor who will be most knowledgeable.

We saw beautiful Ataulfos yesterday in the mercado. We asked, knowing they aren't in season. 140 pesos a kilo!!!!!

That is pricey for sure, but not much more than I often pay back home. And I'll bet the quality is much better. Thanks

However, it's really possible that the ones here are imported from Chile. We didn't look for tags.

I DON'T KNOW, so please don't take this as absolutely correct information.

We once had a beach house outside of Playa Azul and during mango season we would buy them by the crate and eat them and freeze them. If you want an adventure, drive out past Larezo Cardenas to the orchards and buy them along side the roadside.

No need to go to Lázaro. The Costa Grande of Guerrero is the main producer of mangos in México.

I found them at a little place a few doors away from Tienda Organica. They were 150/kilo. Bought 2 for 95p.
